Forth meeting of GMSTEC and the first Annual General Meeting of the GMSTEC Trust in Bangkok.

The forth meeting of GMSTEC was hosted by King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thonburi, Thailand in Bangkok from 28-29 July 2003. It was also the first Annual General Meeting - a milestone event for GMSTEC. At this meeting, GMSTEC expanded cooperation among members by signing up an agreement on a Cooperative PhD Scheme that will facilitate students from member universities to study overseas, and gain PhD degrees from other member universities at lower overall cost. Other key items of progress included the addition of another four new members, development of links with key donor agencies, and the launch of “GMSTEC Online”.
